You have to pass both cores to get the certification, and many people take them weeks apart. Each core is a separate course here, with progress in one not showing up in the other. Core 2 has more objectives, 36 compared to Core 1's 27. A bar at the top of the course switches between the two.

Each core also has a deck of the procedures that have to be done in order. They run in short rounds in both directions, and anything you miss comes back sooner. They are free on every plan.

Procedures in order
Put the Core 1 procedures in order: a sealed battery swap, Bluetooth pairing, a new cable run, and T568B wiring.

Match the Windows command-line tools, and their most-tested switches, to what they do.
Windows tools
Match Task Manager, the MMC snap-ins, and the standalone Windows utilities to the job each one does.
Linux commands
Match the Linux commands for files, storage, root access, packages, networking, and monitoring to what they do.
Procedures in order
Put the Core 2 procedures in order: the ten malware removal steps, change management, evidence collection and more.
Nothing renews and nothing needs cancelling. It is sold on its own, so a SecPlus Mastery plan does not include it, but the same account signs in to both.
