What’s new
We ship small improvements often. This page lists the changes worth calling out, newest first: new features, refinements, and fixes.
Real-world scenarios (beta)
NewA new way to study: real-world scenarios. Each one drops you into a workplace story (a propped-open server room door, a shared admin password, a midnight emergency change, an expired certificate) and asks what you would actually do. Every choice gets honest consequence feedback, the story branches based on your calls, and a debrief ties it back to the exam. Find them in the sidebar under your domain lessons. Domain 1 is live now and free for everyone while the beta runs; Domains 2 through 5 are being written.
Meet Hash, your study tutor
NewLifetime members: meet Hash, your study tutor. Open him from the floating button in the corner of any lesson or quiz and ask questions in your own words. He answers from the lesson you are reading, explains why a quiz answer was wrong, breaks down the objective, or generates fresh practice questions, with a generous daily limit.
ImprovedThe flashcards page now shows your deck at a glance before you start: how many cards there are, how many you have banked, what is left with a session estimate, and a peek at the next card waiting for you.
ImprovedOn phones, Hash opens as a full-width sheet that is easy to read and type in, and tapping his message box no longer zooms the page.
ImprovedAffiliates: your links, clicks, and earnings moved into a single Partner hub in Settings, behind one confirmation, and accounts that sign in with Google can now unlock it with a quick Google check instead of a password.
FixedIf the site updates while you have a tab open, the recovery screen now says exactly that and offers a one-tap refresh, instead of a retry button that could not help.
See who clicks your affiliate links
NewAffiliates can now see a click log for their links in Settings: when each click happened, the device and browser it came from, the country, and the page that sent it, with bot and link-preview traffic clearly separated from real visitors. No personal details about visitors are shown.
A quick welcome, and clearer policies
NewNew free study pages: a full Security+ exam guide covering the cost, format, passing score, the five domains, and how hard it is, plus side-by-side comparisons of Security+ with Network+, CySA+, CISSP, A+, and CEH to help you choose your next certification.
NewNew accounts get a short, skippable "let's set you up" welcome that captures your exam date and study preferences, so your dashboard countdown, study plan, and readiness forecast work from day one.
ImprovedRefreshed the Privacy Policy and Terms: added clear affiliate and referral program terms, spelled out exactly what is kept in your browser, and made the wording around our AI tutor, error monitoring, and policy-change emails precise.
FixedMobile fixes: the next quiz question now jumps into view instead of leaving you scrolled at the bottom, footer links and a few controls are easier to tap, and the welcome setup and exam-date field lay out cleanly.
A better way to read lessons
ImprovedLessons now have an "On this page" outline on the right that tracks the section you are reading and lets you jump straight to any part, so the longer lessons are far easier to navigate.
ImprovedEach lesson now shows an estimated reading time, and the layout is wider and more balanced on desktop so it no longer feels squeezed to one side.
Sign in with Google
NewYou can now sign in or sign up with Google in one tap, with no password to remember. If you already have an account with the same email, Google connects to it automatically, and any two-factor you set up still applies.
NewA new Connected accounts section in Settings shows how you sign in and lets you link or unlink your Google account.
Easier access to key pages and a privacy note
NewA brief, one-time notice now explains the few essential things the site keeps in your browser to sign you in and remember your settings. There are no ads and no cross-site tracking, and the analytics we use set no cookies.
FixedThe footer is now visible while you are signed in, not only when signed out, so Privacy, Terms, Contact, and the free resources are reachable from any page, including on your phone where there was no link to them before.
ImprovedRefreshed the Privacy Policy and Terms: the cookies section now spells out exactly what is stored and why, and the Terms link to the full list of services that help run the site.
New ways to study
NewMemory hooks on the glossary: many of the trickiest Security+ acronyms now come with a quick mnemonic to make them stick, and to untangle easily-confused pairs like RADIUS vs TACACS+ and RPO vs RTO.
NewRecall mode on lesson diagrams: tap "Recall mode" to blur the labels, quiz yourself on what each part is, then tap to reveal. It is active recall built into the figures you already study.
FixedIf the site updates while you have it open, it now refreshes itself smoothly instead of occasionally showing an error on the next page you open.
ImprovedPassword fields now have a show/hide button, so you can check what you typed when signing up, signing in, or changing your password.
Study Rank and a calmer dashboard
NewA new Study Rank on your dashboard: one rank that runs from Recruit through Architect and climbs as you master objectives, hold a streak, and clear reviews, with a clear path to the next rank.
FixedStarting a practice session now jumps you to the first question instead of leaving you scrolled at the bottom of the setup screen.
ImprovedBalanced the footer columns and tightened a few spacing details across Contact and Settings.
ImprovedYour exam readiness now reflects your best mock-exam score: a strong mock lifts it, a weak one is an honest reality check, and only your best attempt ever counts.
ImprovedSettings now uses a roomier two-column layout on desktop, with the section menu as a sticky side rail so the page fits the screen better. The mobile layout is unchanged.
ImprovedAdded a few small, tasteful animations: the readiness ring and your rank progress now ease into place, and all of them respect a reduced-motion preference.
ImprovedUpdated the Privacy Policy and Terms so they accurately describe reviews: your rating and note are public, but reviews are shown anonymously as "Verified learner," never with your name.
Contact page, review fixes, and polish
NewA new Contact page with topic-routed email, so account, billing, refund, and bug messages reach us pre-sorted.
NewThe Settings jump navigation now highlights the section you are viewing.
ImprovedClearer error messages in Practice instead of a raw “Failed to fetch.”
FixedReview cards, session progress, narration voice, and knowledge-check retries now behave correctly.
FixedQuieter background error reporting, so genuine issues stand out.

NewA free 30-day Security+ study plan checklist, with a printable PDF.
NewFree cheat sheets for common attacks, cryptography, and ports & protocols, each downloadable as a PDF.
NewA free 30-question Security+ practice test plus five per-domain practice pages.
NewSeven “X vs Y” comparison guides, including IDS vs IPS and hashing vs encryption.
ImprovedFaster first load: the practice-question pool no longer ships in the core app bundle.
Accounts, security, and the SEO foundation
NewTwo-factor recovery codes, so you can get back in if you lose your authenticator.
