UAT
User Acceptance Testing
Final testing by users to confirm software meets requirements.
UAT is the final validation phase where end users confirm that software meets business requirements before it moves to production. It catches functional gaps that technical testing can miss and supports formal acceptance and sign off. In a secure development lifecycle it is a control gate that helps ensure changes are authorized and fit for purpose. A common pitfall is performing UAT in an environment with production data, which can expose sensitive information without proper safeguards.
Looking UAT up is step one. Getting tested on it is step two.
