AIS

Automated Indicator Sharing

A capability that lets organizations exchange cyber threat indicators in real time.

AIS is a capability, notably operated by the U.S. CISA, that lets organizations exchange machine-readable cyber threat indicators such as malicious IPs, domains, and file hashes at machine speed. Real-time sharing shortens the window between one victim's detection and others' defenses, supporting collective resilience. It commonly rides on the STIX data format and TAXII transport, so associate AIS with standardized, automated indicator distribution rather than manual, after-the-fact threat reports passed between analysts.
