CIO
Chief Information Officer
The executive responsible for information technology strategy and operations.
The CIO is the senior executive accountable for an organization's information technology strategy, systems, and operations, aligning technology investment with business objectives. While security is part of the role, it is broader than security alone, which is why many organizations also designate a CISO or CSO who may report to the CIO. From a governance standpoint, the CIO sets direction and owns risk decisions for IT, illustrating the principle that accountability for security rests with leadership.
Looking CIO up is step one. Getting tested on it is step two.
