CTO
Chief Technology Officer
The executive responsible for technology direction and engineering.
The Chief Technology Officer is the senior executive accountable for an organization's technology strategy and engineering direction. In security governance the CTO is a key stakeholder who weighs innovation against risk and helps fund and prioritize controls. The role is usually distinguished from the CIO, who runs internal IT operations, and the CISO, who owns security specifically.
