USB OTG

USB On-the-Go

A feature letting a device act as host to other USB devices.

USB OTG lets a mobile device act as a host so it can connect peripherals such as keyboards, storage, or other devices directly without a computer. While convenient, it expands the attack surface by enabling a phone or tablet to read external media or drive attached hardware. In managed environments this capability may be restricted to limit data transfer and rogue device use. It extends the removable media risk model to mobile endpoints.
