CVSS
Common Vulnerability Scoring System
A framework that rates vulnerability severity on a 0 to 10 scale.
The Common Vulnerability Scoring System rates the severity of a vulnerability on a 0 to 10 scale using base, temporal, and environmental metrics. Scores fall into low, medium, high, and critical bands that help teams prioritize remediation. CVSS measures severity rather than the likelihood of attack in a specific setting, so it works best combined with asset value and threat context.
