CYOD
Choose Your Own Device
A model letting employees pick a work device from an approved list.
Choose Your Own Device lets employees pick a work device from a company-approved list, giving the organization more control over hardware and configuration than a pure bring your own device model. Because the devices are vetted and usually centrally managed, CYOD simplifies patching, encryption, and mobile device management enrollment. It trades some user freedom for a more consistent and defensible security baseline.
