UAV
Unmanned Aerial Vehicle
A drone; a physical reconnaissance and delivery threat.
A UAV, commonly called a drone, can serve as a physical reconnaissance platform or a delivery mechanism for rogue devices, and it bypasses ground based perimeter controls. Attackers may use one to photograph facilities, capture wireless signals from above, or drop a malicious access point onto a roof. Defenses fall under physical security and include airspace monitoring and counter drone measures. It illustrates that the threat surface extends beyond fences and locked doors.
Looking UAV up is step one. Getting tested on it is step two.
