WO
Work Order
A document authorizing and scoping specific work, often issued under a master agreement.
A work order, closely related to a statement of work, defines the specific tasks, deliverables, schedule, and cost for a piece of work, frequently issued under an overarching master service agreement. In third-party and vendor management it scopes exactly what a provider will do, which matters for setting security expectations and right-to-audit terms on that engagement. Clear scoping prevents misunderstanding about responsibilities, including who secures what. On the exam, group WO and SOW with the agreement types such as MSA, SLA, and MOU used to govern vendor relationships.
Looking WO up is step one. Getting tested on it is step two.
